　　I wandered lonely as a cloud

　　That floats on high o’er vales and hills,

　　When all at once I saw a crowd,

　　A host,of golden daffodiles;

　　Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

　　Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

　　Continuous as the stars that shine

　　And twinkle on the milky way,

　　They stretched in never-ending line

　　Along the margin of a bay;

　　Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

　　Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

　　威廉?華茲華斯（1770---1850）是英國杰出的浪漫主義詩人，他與科爾律治（Samuel Taylor Coleridge），騷塞（Robert Southey）同被稱為“湖畔派”詩人（Lake Poets）。1843年被封為桂冠詩人。他的詩語言生動、樸實，往往于平淡中顯出神奇，且意境高遠常有神來之筆。《I wandered Lonely As a Cloud》是他眾多描寫大自然的優美詩篇中的一篇，詩人把自己想像成為漂浮在高空的云朵，天地一景，美不勝收。全詩共四節，這里選其前兩節。
